Love
I finally found some spare time to finish the artwork for “Love is gonna break your heart”. And I must say I’m pretty happy with it! The artwork is inspired by love, life and the feeling you get after a struggle when you manage to pull through and do something great.
Typography
The type treatments was something I’ve played around with a while ago, but for this artwork I went back to it and did some adjustments to it. I modified some of the letters and fixed some kerning to get a better result than before.
The steps in Photoshop
Here is a very basic overview of the process in Photoshop. I started with the background and texture before I placed the type and added the girl. In the final step I’ve done a lot of work with the colours and light, making the image come to life.

Here is a first sneak peak of what I’m currently working on. It’s a poster based on my old type treatment I did a while ago that I wanted to use it for something more. The other day when I wasn’t doing anything special, I got an apiffany on what that “something” should be. So I started designing and had one of those days when everything (almost anyway) works out and I made a lot of progress in a short period of time. Since it’s a personal project I’m only working on it in the evenings, and I’m going to let the design rest for a couple of days. I want to continue working on it with fresh eyes and make sure I really make it better.
